Environmentally-Friendly Rooms

The central concept behind the design of Douglas House is based on ‘nature’ and ‘relaxation’. Natural materials and tranquil colors engender a sense of peace and serenity.

Three different room styles are available at Douglas House: the Douglas Deluxe, the Traditional Suite, and the Douglas Suite. A Douglas Deluxe Room envelops you in nature with its sensational interior and outdoor balcony.

The Douglas House Traditional Suite gives guests an authentically Korean experience with a Korean bed on the floor, Korea’s amazing “Ondol” in-floor radiant heating system, as well as a small table with floor seating.

Finally, the Douglas Suite gives the ultimate in relaxation with a full-size hammock in the room for suspended reading, and two balconies with wooden flooring, ideal for savoring a cup of fresh coffee. All of the guest rooms at Douglas House offer premium amenities, including a Bath & Body Set from the original Greenwich Village, New York cosmetics brand, C. O. Bigelow, toothbrush & toothpaste, and much more. Guests will also enjoy the complimentary stocked minibar, which includes beer, carbonated water & a snack-filled Loot Bag.

Two white wines, two red wines allow you to pair your wine with the snacks to suit your taste, or you can enjoy an ice-cold beer or make your own cocktail if you prefer. Typically the side dishes available will include three types of cheese (Emmental, Brie and Smoked Mozzarella) walnuts, peanuts, dried cranberries, potato chips and nachos are also available.

On the first floor of the Douglas House, you will discover a primary demonstration of the Douglas House’s central concept, “My cottage where I relax with a book.” – the Douglas Library. The ideal place for weary tourists visiting the Douglas House to rest and revitalize, the Douglas Library was designed in association with Choi In-ah, the owner/operator of a famous bookstore and cultural space, who was in charge of book curation and design consultation. She carefully selected 820 books covering 7 different subjects to suit Douglas House guests. Relax with a book in the hammock as you soak in the music from a playlist curated by Daikanyama Tsutayati, the Music Concierge from Tokyo. Every week there is also a cultural salon which guests can attend.

In addition to all of this, the Douglas House offers a Multi-Room, equipped with an audio system radiating quality music and a pool table where you can enjoy billiards, a Meeting Room to provide space for guests to conduct business, and Laundry Room for long-term guests. From the moment you arrive until you depart the Douglas House, we have endeavored to create the perfect atmosphere where you can create the perfect moment. Once you have chosen Douglas House, all that’s left for you to do is to enjoy total relaxation.
