VISTAGE: A Key Element in the Re-Branding of Vista Walkerhill Seoul

• In collaboration with creative musical artists, VISTAGE deliver live performances
• The VISTAGE Voice 1 musicians will be Winterplay, Asia’s signature Pop Jazz group. With the release of new music inspired by Vista, they delivered a fresh musical experience that stimulated all five senses.

On the evening of the 23rd of last month, Vista Walkerhill Seoul hosted the first performance in our ‘VISTAGE’ series, entitled ‘2019 VISTAGE Voice 1 – Let’s Get Lost with Winterplay’.

Vista Walkerhill Seoul celebrated its second anniversary this year by renewing its VISTA brand, launching its new brand concept, “Refreshing. Vividly.” There are four brand campaigns underway in accordance with this new concept: VISTAYFIT, VISTART, VISTAGE and VISTASTE. VISTAGE is the third brand campaign to get started this year, with VISTAYFIT having started with Global Wellness Day on June 8th and VISTART taking place in the Vista Walkerhill Seoul lobby now through October 31st.

VISTAGE is designed to deliver a message of change and challenge through musical events built on collaboration with creative musical artists as well as an experimental spirit that breaks free from any musical genre.

The first in the concert series featured Winterplay, led by producer and trumpet player Lee, Ju-han. A leading Pop Jazz group recognized in South Korea and around Asia they are well-known to the public thanks to a variety of hit songs, including “Happy Bubble” – a song frequently used as background music in consumer electronics. Winterplay has been presenting creative attempts that escape the boundaries of jazz, pop and lounge music, making them well-suited to Vista’s values and the ideal choice for the first incarnation of VISTAGE.

Instead of their old standby songs, “VISTAGE ‘Let’s Get Lost with Winterplay” got off to a particularly incredible start with the band’s brand new song, “Grand View,” a piece inspired by the band leader’s stay at Vista Walkerhill Seoul. The song gave the audience a chance to experience a sense of Vista’s authentic, creative values by conveying a feeling of true relaxation in natural surroundings through a melody made using traditional Korean instruments.

The VISTAGE concert was held in the hotel’s premium social lounge, Re:Bar, allowing the venue to also convey Vista’s values. With the stage situated in front of the windows, the participants enjoyed incredible evening views of night along the Han with the performance, expanding the boundaries of the performance and providing satisfaction for all five senses.
